The Atlantus: This concrete ship was built during the steel shortage of World War I and served her country for one year. She was later purchased by a salvage company to serve as a ferry between Cape May, NJ and Lewes, DE. She broke free from her mooring during a storm and sunk on June 8th, 1926. Exit 1.

Described by a former colleague: "Jeff has extensive computer knowledge the likes of which I've rarely seen matched, and a great design sense."

Jeff graduated from Oregon State University in 1983 with a BS in Philosophy and then earned his MA in Creative Writing & Literature from Hollins College in Virginia in 1989. He completed some post-graduate work in Artificial Intelligence at Harvard.

His diverse work history includes experience working at Harvard University Division of Applied Science, preparing long and short technical manuscripts and grant proposals using TEX; founding a boutique design firm in NYC and apprenticing as a donut baker.

In 2005, Jeff joined Cyber X Designs as lead programmer, where his expertise in open source development and information design helped produce award winning web applications. His extensive knowledge and experience includes developing custom applications using: the Joomla! CMS, MODx CMS, Zend Framework and JQuery. Jeff is responsible for the development of enterprise applications for clients such as Novartis Oncology, Pfizer, Essex Technologies, Teva Respiratory, Altana, Bering Air and many others.

His professional associations include Zend Certified Engineers and New York PHP Community. Jeff enjoys spending most of his non-programming time riding his motorcycle to bbq joints.
