MODx

MODxMODx is an open source PHP Application Framework that works well for simple and complex websites. For simple websites, MODx allows the site administrator to add or edit content on their own website. Our customers tell us that MODx is so simple to use and it makes creating and editing content easier than they ever imagined.

MODx is an Ajax CMS. It enables us to build state-of-the-art Web 2.0 websites utilizing W3C-validating, CSS-driven templates (and that makes search engines happy). The CMS provides direct access to meta-data, keywords and URL structure, so you can be in control of your Search Engine Optimization efforts.

For more complex websites, MODx offers a flexible API and a robust event override system that means that we are able to create customized components that integrate seamlessly with the front and back ends of the website. And since the structure is modular, when it comes time to upgrade your installation we are often able to do so without re-inventing the wheel!

But what does this all mean? This means that we can develop sites that vary from simple online brochures through enterprise-class websites. Some of the value-added features that are easily integrated into the MODx framework include:

We use MODx to build all sizes of websites, from simple promotional websites to complex portals or news websites. Basically, it provides content editing capabilities to non-technical personnel, which means you don't have to be a web programmer to add, update or remove the text, links or images on your website. What's even better is that it's Open Source, which means that there are no licensing fees. Some private content management systems will hit you with large annual fees, not MODx.

There are lots of add-ons that make MODx great, for example: forums, event calendars, commenting, RSS feed generation and aggregation, and much more. And if the add-on doesn't exist, it's ok, we specialize in developing in this framework and often make custom modules to add on ourselves.
